Well, I just got to the hotel room. Shun also known as Legato on the message boards is with me...of courseXD It took about two hours to drive down here. Not bad considering most conventions people go out of state for ^_^ If you didn't know, I'm an avid cosplayer and this year is no different. Last year, if anyone remembers, I was Melfina. This year, it's Rurouni Kenshin. Ok, off to see events and mingle. Gonna check out the dealers room and the art show too...
11:45 pm - Watashi wa baka desu :P >.< I forgot my camera link cable so I won't be able to upload the pics until sunday evening! Oh well, I'll upload them the first thing when I get back from the con ^__^
Anyway, being Kenshin is great, lol! People love Kenshin, which is almost completely opposite of what happened last year. Being Melfina was fun but certain people don't like that character as I soon found out ^^;; But with Kenshin, I must have been glomped at least three times! Posed for pics and mingled with people for about 45 min. My costume is so hot though! Wearing a kimono with hakama and an extremely long wig tends to get a bit toasty after a while. Legato and I went to the dealers room about 4:00. So much good stuff. It's so cool. Legato picked up Tsubasa vol. 2 while I got a cool poster of DNAngel along with a Ragnarok Online print. Oh yeah, and what con experience would be complete without Pocky and mochi!! Gosh that stuff is addicting like crack XD After that we went to one of the video rooms and watched a parody dub of Sailor Moon which was extremely funny! That lasted until about 11:30. Now I'm tired and think I'll get some sleep before tomorrow. I plan on hiting the dealers room again...and again...and again ^_~

The internet was down in our hotel room the entire day yesterday! So, I'm a day late writing this. Anyway...went back to the dealers room and bought a Cowboy Bebop wallscroll and Naruto headband. One thing I didn't say yesterday was how many Naruto cosplayers there are this year. I mean there are a LOT of them!! Last year there might have been one or two. Another thing, this weekend there were about 1600 fans here! The convention really grew from last year XD Ok, later on I watched two episodes of Ah! My Godess! Yes it's true, I've never actually seen it before. The highlight of the day however was definitely the cosplay. We waited in line for two hours and definitely thought we wouldn't get a seat in the main room. Luck was on our side though and we managed to get a good seat near a speaker so we actually heard some of the acts XD Many were very funny, from Vash and Wolfwood to Yuna and Riku...and of course there was a Naruto group. After cosplay, we were so tired that we came back to the room with snacks from the ConSuite and watched Inuyasha and Wolf's Rain. :D

Aw, it was the last day of the convention. We only stayed until about 11:30 in the morning...just enough time to go to the dealers room for last minute goodies! Legato bought a grab bag in which we shared the contents which included the first manga volume of Ah! My Goddess, some trading cards, a Gema plushi, and Dragon Slayers video. Pretty cool! Throughout our entire stay it was nearly impossible to use the elevators. So, the stairs were the only way to go...and we were on the sixth floor! It totally felt like FFVII when they had to climb all the stairs of Shinra Inc. Those of you who played it know what I'm talking about XD But really it was a lot of fun and I plan on attending it again next year. I'll be a veteran con-goer before you know it! Coming up is a brand new convention for Nebraska that I'm probably going to attend in October. It's only one day in Lincoln but looks like fun. Maybe they'll be more cosplay and stuff, who knows :D
I'm finally able to put up the pictures. Sorry, but I didn't get as many as last year. Everyone did such wonderful work on their costumes that I know you'll love the pics that I managed to take ^^;;
