Awww, It’s Inuyasha and Kagome! The pastel pinks and purples look so nice together! I just love how clean and fresh it looks. I made it around springtime in 2003, so at the time, it fit in with the season. The logo in the upper left corner came out nice and added to the kawaii-factor. ^^

I loved the main picture on the left. The expressions of the two characters are perfect^^ One of the main problems I had to address when making it was the quality. The picture’s rather large so I had to think how much compression to use. So, after debating it a while, high quality seemed to be the choice. So what if it was 100 kb! That’s when I decided to use the iframe, so the content would load in the frame without having to load the giant picture with it. But the dimensions of the picture were quite large and I fear how it looked on 800 x 600 resolution O_o Since the graphic took up so much space, the actual content frame was smooshed next to the it! *sigh*

Even though the picture looked nice and the colors matched, I still didn’t quite have the seamless-layout thingy going on. The dividers I added to the middle and bottom areas did help visually connect all the parts. A new technique I tried was setting the margin to 0 and changing the alignment around so left became right and vice versa (notice that the scrollbar is on the left. Hmm...). This was used to make sure the picture remained flat against the right side.

Overall, this version was clean and the pastel colors created a calming effect...much different than the intense red spectrum used in the last one. Yeouch.
