The inspiration for this design came from another guild website that I found in one of my many searches. This is probably my least favorite guild web layout - design-wise. The red is too intense. Also, it’s not really anime-ish. The two banners that border the top and bottom didn’t come out exactly like I had hoped. They just made the page look bland and kinda, er, like it was taken from the 60s O_o (in my opinion anyway). Not exactly the effect I was going for...

However, this version is an improvement from my last one. The issue of the hard to update links was resolved. I learned a lesson fast, and that was that I needed a layout that was easy to update and add links to. The page is broken up in two basic parts: the main table with the navigation on the left and guild ally links on the right, and the iframe in the middle. This made updating a cinch, and for a small guild at the time, it was nice.

My favorite aspect would have to be the ease with which each page loaded. It wasn’t graphic intense so there were no long waits for anything to load. And for the first time, I didn’t have banner ads or popups littering my website, thank goodness!! Now, my web space was hosted by my internet provider, Earthlink, and I’ve been banner and popup ad free for about one year now :)
